Essential Packing Guide for Disneyland Paris with Babies and Toddlers

A trip to Disneyland Paris with your little ones is an exciting adventure filled with magical moments and cherished memories. However, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience requires careful planning, especially when it comes to packing for babies and toddlers.

In this post, we will provide you with a comprehensive guide on what to pack for Disneyland Paris with babies and toddlers, ensuring that you have everything you need to keep your little ones happy and comfortable throughout your visit.

Clothing and Accessories

When it comes to packing clothes for your little ones, consider the weather conditions during your visit to Disneyland Paris.

The climate can vary depending on the season, so be prepared for changing temperatures. In Summer, it can be in excess of 30C/86F, but in Winter it can be below 0C/32F.

One obvious thing to do is check the local weather before heading there, so that you have an idea of the current temperature. On our latest trip in June 2023, one couple commented to us in the lift that they hadn’t packed any shorts because they hadn’t expected it to be so hot!

Here are some essential clothing items and accessories to pack:

  • Comfortable and weather-appropriate clothing, including t-shirts, pants, shorts, and lightweight jackets or sweaters for cooler evenings.
  • Extra sets of clothes in case of spills, accidents, or unexpected weather changes.
  • Comfortable shoes for walking, as you’ll spend a significant amount of time on your feet. Sneakers or closed-toe shoes are recommended.
  • Sun hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect your little ones from the sun’s rays.
  • Raincoats or ponchos in case of rain.
  • Swimwear and towels if you plan to visit any water attractions.

Diapering and Baby Care

If you have a baby or a toddler still in diapers, packing the necessary supplies is crucial for a hassle-free experience. Here are some items to consider:

  • Diapers: Pack enough diapers to last throughout your trip. Consider the number of diaper changes per day and add a few extras, just in case.
  • Baby wipes and diaper rash cream.
  • Changing pad or disposable changing pads for convenient diaper changes on the go.
  • Plastic bags for disposing of dirty diapers or soiled clothes.
  • Extra clothing and bibs for your little one.
  • Baby lotion, shampoo, and any other personal care items your child may require.

Feeding Essentials

Disneyland Paris provides a range of dining options for families, but it’s always a good idea to have some feeding essentials on hand. Here’s what you should consider packing:

  • Bottles, sippy cups, and/or nursing supplies depending on your child’s age and feeding preferences.
  • Formula or breast milk if applicable. Note that baby food and milk can also be purchased at various locations in the park.
  • Snacks and finger foods your child enjoys, as they may have specific dietary requirements or preferences.
  • Disposable bibs and utensils for convenient feeding.

Stroller and Baby Carriers

Exploring Disneyland Paris can involve a lot of walking, and having a stroller or baby carrier can be a game-changer for tired little legs. Consider the following:

  • A sturdy, lightweight stroller that is easy to maneuver through crowds and can be folded easily when required. Check the park’s guidelines regarding stroller size limitations. We used this one on our most recent trip and it worked a treat!
  • A baby carrier or sling for times when a stroller may not be practical, such as crowded areas or queues.

Entertainment and Comfort Items

To keep your little ones entertained and comfortable throughout your visit, consider packing the following:

  • Favorite toys, books, or small games to keep your child engaged during travel and waiting times.
  • Snuggle blankets, loveys, or pacifiers for nap times or when your child needs comfort.
  • A compact travel pillow or neck support for stroller or car seat naps.

Miscellaneous Items

Lastly, here are a few miscellaneous items that may come in handy during your trip to Disneyland Paris:

  • Reusable water bottles to keep everyone hydrated throughout the day.
  • Hand sanitizers and baby wipes for maintaining hygiene.
  • Extra plastic bags for storing wet clothes or other items, or for any trash you may accumulate.
  • A small first aid kit with essential items such as band-aids, antiseptic cream, and any necessary medications.
  • Baby-friendly insect repellent, especially during warmer months.
  • Travel-sized laundry detergent for washing clothes in case of spills or accidents.
